Great game with tons of depth. Requires deep focus, strategy and ability to execute. I stopped after hitting entry pro level, you hit diminishing returns, like anything, and it becomes a lot harder to improve, which means more time inside pool halls. But the biggest thing is it’s not the best crowd. You don’t make money in pool unless you gamble so it attracts a lot of Las Vegas types who are drinking, doing drugs and chain smoking. At the higher levels other players won’t play with you unless you put money on the line. I hated that. They’d get mad if you win, or there’d be an endless obligation to give them a chance to win it back etc. I just liked the game, didn’t care for the money.
