agree with your sentiment on polling and potential coalitions. “a party flirting with Neo Nazis” is a strong misrepresentation of AFD. the leadership of AFD has been on record with Nazi quotes for years. It’s not like non-Nazis started a movement, turned it into a political party and then suddenly the bad Nazis joined and leadership didn’t distance themselves. it is run by people who promote racist and Nazi ideology.

What do you consider to be the best examples supporting your claim that the AfD themselves should be considered Neo Nazis?

3. press freedom: AfD has repeatedly attacked journalists, referring to them as “Lügenpresse” (“lying press”), a term historically used by Nazis to delegitimize independent media and suppress dissent. 4. connected to "official" Neo nazi groups: many AfD members and factions (“Flügel” led by Björn Höcke, now terminated) have documented ties to neo-Nazi organizations. It's not just one rare individual, but large overlaps, so the connections suggest shared ideological foundations. 5. rejection of human rights norms: AfD leaders have repeatedly criticized the UN Refugee Convention and EU policies on human rights. echoing isolationist and ethno-nationalist principles akin to the Nazi rejection of globalist institutions.
