Curious where/how everyone is minting real art now? I see that zora is now for pumping ephemeral things. Really hoping there’s still a place for nft art in our ecosystem. @heathernstout where are you minting now?

Hey, @cstreet! I'm working on several projects and was late seeing this - thank you for thinking of me for this important question. There will always be a place for art. I don't see it going anywhere as this tech is the future. It is one piece of a much larger pie. There seems to be great loss as so many artists were once very active. Many have decades of experience and continue to work but may have lessened their time on certain apps. My work is mostly minted on my own contracts no matter chain - @manifoldxyz, @transientlabs, @mintpadco as examples. I can list on platforms and retain full control. I've experimented, carefully selecting works and best practices. If anything changed with a platform, I'd be quick to take great care of those pieces and my collectors. For years we've desperately needed more arts professionals behind the scenes rather than quieted down and brushed into corners. I think that we are seeing changes - better late than never. Where artists go, the masses follow ♡

omg-- I LOVE this answer!!! TY So much!!! I loved the momentum of true fine artists entering the space in 2021, but you're one of the remaining few from my circle of bad ass women photographers who kept up the hard work of staying in this space! One of my biggest struggles is that I normally only have time for art in between my tech work, which means I'm out of the minting tech for 6-12 months at a time. In those windows, platforms I once knew of and/or trusted are gone or pivot to gambling/extraction plays. Glad to see Manifold is still in your tool kit. I think that's the one I'll lean into. I used them when they first launched but were a bit over the top with L1 gas back then. I love what you noted about artists being brushed into corners and hope the trend of reversal is in the works.
