curious whether anyone’s thought about how to replicate the UX of a locked account on a decentralized platform like farcaster. it seems like a really interesting and challenging problem!

my guess it’s that you’d want to have a situation where every post is encrypted with a distinct ephemeral key, and then the post key can be (re)wrapped to different audiences

the tricky thing is that you want a UX where: if user A follows user B, then A can see all of B’s past posts if user B revokes access to user A, then A loses access to both future and past posts

you’ll only ever get the second property approximately, or up to good faith, since A can archive all of B’s posts while they have access, but that’s also true in the centralized case.
