Sir Humphry Davy (17 December 1778 โ 29 May 1829) was a British chemist. He discovered the elements sodium, potassium, calcium, strontium and barium, and was the first to show that elements in a chemical compound were held together by bonds of an electrical nature. He also invented the first incandescent light bulb in 1802.[1] He also introduced the carbon cycle to the public.
