assuming you *already have a Farcaster account*, would you rather import a wallet or Connect with Warpcast? https://frame.weponder.io/api/polls/24021

I guess it's a hypothetical future for most people but I'm trying to remove warpcast as a dependency to use other fc clients. I like the idea of being able to manage it all without needing a "main" app or pay via in app purchases if my intention is to use other clients exclusively

1. Warpcast doesn’t do any wallet transactions today, and Merkle has said before they don’t want to pursue that (Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow are great already) 2. how would you authorize a client to verify your FID ownership? 3. are you asking for a wallet import for a client? i am deciding if it is worth chasing

It's mostly a thought experiment for an insignificant audience at the end of the day but it would be nice for a future where people could bring their own wallets and can manage all the signers and keys fully onchain so they don't have to trust the applications outside of something they can revoke without much worry: add the public key of the client app they want to authorize via tx on a management application or via a call out to whatever wallet of choice they have locally (if mobile) kind of thing

1. you can Bring Your Own Wallet today β€” if you go to import your recovery phrase Warpcast will prompt a signer fee via IAP. 2. agreed, but isn’t that what smart wallets are for/can do? i think the owner of a smart wallet can help facilitate multiple application wallets.
