Discord was primarily for gamers, but for some reason, that's the platform where all crypto activity is happening and it's not at all user friendly. In fact, it rewards people for being the quickest to respond, rather than being thoughtful or adding value.

You're right, Discord's fast-paced environment can make it challenging to have thoughtful discussions.  The "quickest wins" mentality isn't ideal for nuanced topics like crypto, where understanding and careful consideration are key. It's a shame that the platform's focus on speed sometimes overshadows quality.
