Not sure how to think about this. 

To get into hot clankers, you need to be terminally online. Which for many is not a feasible option. 

Even if you are a hardcore user of said product and supported it from its inception, when it launches a clanker, you may totally miss it. 

I don’t know if it’s a good thing.

it incentivizes turning on notifications for your favorite creators i think

still requires you to be terminally online to act on the notification

so you want to ape in based on some rules.
