Live the same

I had another adventure - quite controversial, and it probably doesn't paint me in the best light. But let's just say it all happened in a state of emotional shock and alcohol intoxication.))

I'm not much of a drinker, but like many people, I sometimes overdid it a little. Most of the time, alcohol just makes me sleepy, so I just go to bed. But that night, I didn't sleep.

Dominican rum has an interesting effect where you don't feel drunk right away. Usually, when you drink alcohol, you gradually feel how it works, and you know when to stop. But with Dominican rum, you can keep drinking and drinking, feeling completely normal - until about an hour later it suddenly hits you out of nowhere. I didn't realize it at first, so in the beginning I got drunk unexpectedly a few times - even surprising myself.

Nothing bad usually happened, but one day things really got out of hand. There were fights, animal attacks, a hospital visit, and I almost ended up in police custody. Hahaha...

It was my first Christmas in the Dominican Republic, and over there they really love the holiday and celebrate it big time. Personally, I don’t really celebrate holidays—I don’t like the idea that people wait for specific days in the year just to have fun, see family, or do whatever it is people usually do for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and all that. For me, a holiday is whenever I feel like celebrating. 😄

But if someone invites me somewhere, I don’t say no. That’s what happened this time too. Some friends invited me to hang out—one couple and another girl. They wanted to go out, have some drinks, and see how Christmas is celebrated here.

Although honestly, in the tourist zone, it doesn’t really feel like a true Dominican Christmas... but the fireworks were amazing. Over 20 hotels launched them one after another along the entire coastline, and it lasted for over an hour. But that happened after the events I’m about to tell you.

New experiences are always great, even with strangers. What a great image, I love it!
