revolutions suck and they rarely work. You usually would need some sort elite support for it to ever have success. Otherwise its just a peasant rebellion that will get stomped on.

Ever heard of the Mass line? Cuba? And also I’m here in crypto bc I do* think it’s the only viable mechanism for accumulating and using value for revolutionary purposes

Mao had foreign support via the soviets, (wouldn't have succeded without them) and cuban revolution was an intra-elite affair. A lot of the leaders were from wealthy and elite circles. In todays time it would be like the sons and daughters of cia directors, congressmens and billionaires leading a revolution, (with most likely foreign support).

Mao's revolution’s success was rooted in decades of grassroots mobilization. Che and Castro broke from class by mobilizing rural Cubans against Batista’s corrupt U.S.-backed regime. Each revolution is different. China was a classic vanguard party, cuba turned into one.
