Kuwait is cracking down on crypto mining due to the strain it's causing to the grid, which is roughly split between oil- and gas-fired generators.

Miners can easily set up their own generators as Gas is stupid cheap there.

Yeah a lot of these operators are greedy and don't care about the side effects of their operations.
