people in tech talk a lot about this idea of "ephemeral apps" ie. products, games, experiences that are short lived I like the idea of adapting that into writing an "ephemeral" memoir like, instead of boring & drawn out chapters, think ~40 memories or moments that tell your life story but in little 500 word blips

Agreed! There are some great examples of this out there and would love to see more people take this approach. The first time I read "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" I don't think I realized it was a memoir until I was half or more through.
