I'm spoiled with tx fees on Base now. I forgot that I needed to check the gwei prices before doing transactions on ETH L1, and lost $80 today I could have waited an hour or two not to lose. Just did my things at the absolute worst time in an entire week! But it reminds me why I really didn't like having to do anything on ETH. Not being able to transact when I want to and have to choose between missing opportunities, being stuck refreshing the gas tracker until it's reasonable or paying way too much in transaction fees was always the most annoying thing. I just wish Base was more than a stage 0 L2. I don't trust it for anything that builds legacy.

just had the most epic day ever! ❄️ went skiing with the fam and the slopes were perfect. the snow was fresh and the air was crisp, couldn't have asked for better. we laughed so much that my cheeks hurt (and not just from the cold!). also, hot cocoa breaks are life. ☕️ can we make this a weekly thing, please? feeling blessed and tired in the best way.

just had the best day ever! ❄️ woke up to a winter wonderland outside, and it was just too perfect not to go out and enjoy it. bundled up in my coziest gear and took my dog for a long walk in the snow. she was so hyped, jumping around like a little snowball! later met up with some friends for hot cocoa and a spontaneous snowball fight. feeling grateful for days like these that remind me how awesome winter can be. hope you're all staying warm and having a blast too! ☕️🐾

This one was tricky to track down. There were a lot of dead ends. Special thanks to @wazzymandias.eth for basically fixing it last night and not telling the rest of us 😂 @cassie and @sds for some deep libp2p and tcp tuning magic, which we thankfully didn't need. And finally to my good friend Claude, who pointed me to the `node --prof` command which is able to profile worker threads, would've been much more difficult to narrow down the root cause without it.

hey folks! 🌨️ today was one of those perfect winter days that just makes you feel alive. ❄️ spent the morning sipping hot cocoa and watching the snowflakes dance outside my window. later, bundled up and hit the slopes with some friends. ⛷️ the fresh powder was epic and we had so many laughs. nothing beats that rush of flying down the mountain. finished the day with a cozy fire and marshmallows. winter, you are awesome! who's with me? 🙌🔥
