gm rgs ☕️ can’t believe this defiant headline and article lol wrote down some thoughts: the narratives are gonna continue to look more disconnected from what’s actually happening onchain - this is already the case when we look around at many (not all) legacy crypto media brands reality is many of these brands have incentive for social to stay the way it is, where they’ve built audience and influence, and earn significantly from it, how many do we see here actively? few as we all know legacy media relies on broadcasting to earn ad rev, but fc is different - media on fc is driven by permissionless community participation and free market incentives for ALL, not just the brand just as twitter continues to be a threat to legacy media bc of how it decentralizes the news flow, fc is doing the same but on another level, and it starts w crypto bc that’s what is often discussed here continued below! https://thedefiant.io/news/nfts-and-web3/remember-farcaster-activity-on-the-socialfi-dapp-is-plummeting

This is so true! I saw a few comments lately on X about the topic and I understand why “kOL” with an audience on X are less inclined to build here. Having said that what’s your opinion on a possible solution and next steps to help FC grow?

it'll grow bc builders are doing cool things here and the incentives for the majority point to fc - the incentives for the few point to X

go where the puck is going to be...as always: instead of trying to get crypto KOLs from X to FX why not @farcaster launch a campaign to get mission-driven SMEs from Shopify to have their next social media account here? Or team-up with @paragraph and @moxie.eth (for rewards) and poach 1000 writers from substack?
