" Climate change and Water crisis " When we talk about global climate changes, we don't mean only climate changes or global warming, but one of the important effects of these changes is on the fresh water balance on the surface of the earth. In fact, the warming of the earth, in addition to the dangers and negative effects it has, will cause a water crisis in the world, and unfortunately we have to say that it has! Based on the UNICEF report, I will mention two of the problems that the water crisis has created for humans and especially children in the global dimension, so that the importance of the issue becomes more apparent to you: [ 1 ] ** The photos are not mine and I could not find the name of the photographer.

1. Extreme water events and changes in water cycle patterns have made access to safe drinking water more difficult, especially for vulnerable children. About 450 million children live in areas that are exposed to severe or very severe water damage. This means that these children do not have enough water to meet their needs. 2. About 74% of natural disasters between 2001 and 2018 were water-related, including droughts and floods. Climate change is the only reason to explain why these disasters repeat and increase in intensity. When disasters occur, they can destroy or contaminate all water sources, increasing the risk of outbreaks of diseases that children are particularly vulnerable to, such as cholera and typhoid. Every day, more than 700 children under the age of five die from diarrhea related to lack of water, sewage or personal hygiene. [ 2 ]

Climate change happens every day. We have to act and water management is part of the solution. Adapting to the water impacts of climate change will protect children's health and save their lives. More efficient use of water and moving towards water systems benefiting from solar power will reduce the amount of greenhouse gases and take care of children's future. Happy new year to all members of the /nature channel, especially @jonathancolton. I hope that in the new year we will all protect nature and water more than the previous year. 💗💗 [ end ]
