I love this book channel, but I would also love a feed purely of book _excerpts_.

Screenshots of passages, quotes, idea fragments, and other inspiration from whatever people are reading, etc. 

Could that live within this channel, or is that too much its own thing?

For example, I’m reading “The Maniac” by Benjamín Labatut and came across this lovely quote.

Sensible solution. It would be even better if there were a way to take the onus off the user.

Hashtags have always struck me as a bit of an eyesore too…

Feel like this is the type of thing hashtags were created to facilitate. People could share screenshots of passages, quotes, fragments & other inspiration from what they're reading, tagging those posts w/ #bookinspo or #bookexcerpt. Then people could follow custom channels based on searching for a particular hashtag.

I like that idea too.

I love this so much!! I have a folder on my phone with >700 photos with things like this. Here’s one of my recent ones from “Inheriting the War: prose and poetry from decedents of Vietnam vets & refugees”

Reading it has been very helpful to unpack my family history and recognise the criticality of protesting war
