The beam chain roadmap got criticism for the "2029" date, but what that criticism misses is that the beam chain roadmap is a completely separate and parallel workstream from the work that is happening already to meet users' needs in the short term (basically, scaling blobs, where @dankrad has for years played a leading and invaluable part) In 2025, we need blobs (and L1 cost reductions like EIP-4444). Voter atrophy comes from not making governance enjoyable enough to spend your time. That's the beauty of a DAO. Having to spend 4 hours in a call to hear a few proposals is too much time for most people, especially on a weekday. Agreed that voter participation is important, but that's a separate issue to the DUNA imo.

Two Bsky features that really helped me bootstrap a great feed in first 2-3 days of using the app - Starter packs - Account lists with a big “follow all” button, really helps bootstrap the interest graph - Shared feeds - Kind of like starter packs, except I don’t have to follow accounts - just see the feed of the posts that I can pin to home (similar to channels in a sense, but readers decide who is in the feed) Both are user generated, are first class citizens in the app, and can be discovered / shared easily
