whole restaurant industry psyoped by too many punk rock chefs into only doing runny, *jammy* boiled eggs for so long that we've forgotten the simple joy of an 11 minute fluffy yoke.

But you might find it interesting that in our culture, these runny jammy boiled eggs have a long history and are not a modern invention. The translated name is also "honey-like egg," where the yolk is as runny as honey. It’s one of the popular breakfast options alongside omelets, sunny-side-up eggs, and 11-minute boiled eggs:))

they're good but the industry has fallen a little too in love with them!

I agree with you. This type of egg is more suited for a comforting breakfast at grandma’s house than for a restaurant!! In ma culture, it’s not served in restaurants, not even as a breakfast option!!
