Hey bros, I am a complete noob when it comes to tools, but want to get a sander and saw thing and frankly i am sick of watching youtubers compare tools idk wtf they even saying. One is orbital sander other is 165mm circ saw. Only other thing i have is a drill (this why makita). These will be good for build a dog house?

yes those are exactly what you need. imo you can get away without the sander but would be nice if you’re really tryna pretty her up. my advice would be to get a true orbital (spins in circle) vs “random” orbital which is a circle but kinda just vibrates randomly. orbital takes material away much quicker

Bro you are a legend. This the type of info i do not have. I'll definitely sand the palette wood to oil up or stain, in the hopes it can last ok in the garden. Was looking at just a manual hand sander, to upgrade from my block of wood lol, but it was like 10£ and the makita thing is 90£ so fuck it we electrify it

also figured i'll have to sand shit in the future. same thinking for the saw. I dont envision building too much, but figure they will last a lifetime or whatever.

glad that was helpful. just know that the orbital will be harder to manage [as far as ease of use holding it] but takes material away quicker. the random orbital will be easier to use but a bit slower to remove material. depending on what you're using it for, taking material off quickly can be trouble
