🪂 Points: only have vague "future uses," stored in a SQL database in Williamsburg, just some boring number. 🐸 Frogs: real world utility now (you can look at the frog), stored as cryptographically verifiable proof-carrying data, have picture of a frog.

I say “default” here because there exist schemes to make each of these attributes possible/easier for both types of cryptographically-anchored data. But the defaults define a lot of what will happen in practice

1) PCDs are default private; NFTs are default public 2) PCDs are default non-transferable; NFTs are default transferable 3) PCDs are default free to issue and interact with; NFTs require wallets + gas + blockchain interaction by default 4) PCDs can be made easy to make ZKPs about; NFTs are default hard to ZKP

snoozed while former core team members are working on other 0xparc projects (infrastructure for crypto-native games and autonomous worlds - lattice and mud - opcraft and sky strife - and more). we're always thinking about when it might make sense to reboot though, likely on top of this new infra
