Picking up WordPress in 2024 is a wild time 😵‍💫 classic themes, block themes, page builders, gutenburg, what the hell should I use 🫠🫠

Elementor is pretty good, however the most important thing with any theme in my mind is that it's crazy fast. Any theme that is not well optimized to load quickly will sink your page rank score and cause much higher bounce rates. For this reason, I generally like AMP themes but other similarly fast options exist.

I haven't logged into WordPress for at least a year so I really don't have any input on the most current theme.

What's your thought on the new block themes? I've been liking spectra one a lot, and apparently block themes are more performant than classic themes?
