What's your thought on the new block themes? I've been liking spectra one a lot, and apparently block themes are more performant than classic themes?

Elementor is pretty good, however the most important thing with any theme in my mind is that it's crazy fast. Any theme that is not well optimized to load quickly will sink your page rank score and cause much higher bounce rates. For this reason, I generally like AMP themes but other similarly fast options exist.

Cool, I haven't started / needed to use ACF yet, but I have it in the back of my mind. I tried elementor but I kept getting issues between the theme font styles vs elementor global font styles -  seems like they were conflicting even with the settings option in elementor to use the theme styles. Otherwise it was fine

I use elementor, allows me to make templates, and acf fields so I can add custom fields and post types without having to do any code.

I'm not as familiar with them, in my mind it's just one abstraction up from html and css. Do they also support membership gated content? Part of the appeal of WordPress is having the tools to support building websites for any type of commerce / business

I like to use static site generators.  It’s just safer than WP for most sites.

Come to think of it just use @paragraph ?
