Been doing a lot of SQL stuff with getdbt and the dbt power user MCP is pretty dope. Agents have access to running queries and checking schemas is really helpful!

The way I am using it right now is really just reading — it’s pretty rare I am really writing with SQL (I’m usually running queries for data analytics,etc.) but you could add some prompts around writing that you force it to ask you before writing. Also, when it uses MCP, Cursor does ask for human input before running the commands.
