which mac should i buy? - i mostly do web dev for work - on my computer all day every day. no tolerance for lag, ram limits, etc - not compiling anything, editing video, etc - i have a ton of chrome tabs open - want at least 1tb disk space - willing to pay extra for futureproofing mba, mbp, mini? m3 or m4?

If you travel the MBA. I have an MBA I use only when travelling. Small, lightweight and you can carry it on your back all day if you have to.

I travel like 6 times per year, but also planning a big world trip in 18 months so this is very relevant.

The M series is so so fast. If you aren’t doing any video editing or code compiling or using Xcode it will be more then enough. I still use the first M1 MacBook Air and it still screams.
