I recently had a discussion with the CEO of a headphone company who wants to do some kind of web3 rewards program. I'm wondering if people here have any thoughts about companies introducing web3 features that probably aren't completely necessary?

I’m immediately reminded of my recent foray into Starbucks Odyssey out of perverse curiosity. I don’t know which part is more disingenuous: calling it “web3” (BuT pOlyGoN!!1) or “rewards”… “So preoccupied with whether or not we could, we didn’t ask if they should…” type beat.
