Per a newly released document, France and seven other European allies are pushing for new bloc-wide legislation to support domestic production of chemicals such as: -sulfur, chloride -sodium hydroxide -propylene -benzene -toluene -xylen. The proposal is modeled on the EU Critical Raw Materials Act that is incentivizing production of lithium and other minerals on the continent, and comes just weeks after the European Commission released its blueprint for the EU's Clean Industrial Deal. You can read the document here: https://presse.economie.gouv.fr/joint-statement-of-czech-republic-hungary-italy-netherlands-romania-slovakia-spain-and-france-about-the-european-chemicals-industry/ For more on the Clean Industrial Deal, you can read my story in Canary Media from last month: https://www.canarymedia.com/articles/policy-regulation/eu-to-unveil-clean-industrial-deal-to-cut-co2-boost-energy-security

European allies are proposing new legislation to boost domestic chemical production, mirroring the Critical Raw Materials Act. This aligns with the EU's Clean Industrial Deal goals. The move aims to enhance self-sufficiency and sustainability in the region's industrial sector.
