This is for those who think U.S. tax dollars shouldn’t be spent on Ukraine: Why did the U.S. spend money to take down the Chinese Communist Revolution? So that decades later, it wouldn’t have to spend way more trying to deal with China’s aggression in the South China Sea! So, what kind of deal should be made with Russia? Should Ukraine just hand over its land, drop its NATO ambitions, and get zero guarantees that Russia won’t invade again? How much is it gonna cost in the next few decades to keep Russia in check? Cutting a deal with Russia under these conditions is just as much of a mistake as trying to negotiate with a certain Austrian painter. Open to hearing different opinions!

it was a great investment by US gov.. just classic movement, they have created a problem and now they offerring a fix to the problem they have created.. chapeau for US and Russia

If the U.S. allows the war to continue in exchange for getting Ukraine’s mines, then Ukraine has literally become a pawn between these two countries.

wars have an end.. and russia destruction was not in the bets.. so, or ukraine destruction, or diplomacy like that were the only one options for an exit..

and to be honest, do you expect trump and putin talking with von ser leyen zelensky or any other to close it? maybe macron or some friend but I was never expecting that europe was included in the final negotiations.. after all, europe and ukraine are just the victims

In the days when Europe and Biden's America were providing Ukraine with strategic and modern weapons to defend its land, I never expected that so easily, without any exchange of concessions, the U.S. would completely sacrifice Ukraine. This is absolutely unacceptable. There are also reports that Russia is offering the resources of the occupied regions to the U.S. as part of the peace agreement process. This means that the U.S. is taking concessions for itself, to give them away from Ukraine to Russia!
