The three Israeli female hostages, Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, and Doron Steinbrecher, were captured during a massive attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023. They were held in captivity for over **400 days** before being released as part of a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on January 19, 2025.

What caught my attention was the video of Hamas members handing over these three hostages! The unbelievable morale of these individuals amazed me.

They knew from the beginning that their lives are valuable to their people and their government, and they will everything for their freedom—unlike the people in the Middle East.
This highlights the difference between people in the third world and those in the first world.
