Coffee shop red flags 🚩 

- Multiple sizes espresso drinks (e.g. sm md lg cappuccinos)
- Syrups from a pump, especially if there’s 5+. In house syrups only. 
- They try to convince you brewed coffee and americanos are the same thing (personal pet peeve)
- They sell coffee beans that are labeled dark medium or French roast 

Just because a coffee shop hits one or multiple of these flags doesn’t mean it’s a bad coffee shop; all of this is very subjective. These are just my mental notes when I’m looking for a shop in a new area. DYOR
