breaking through plateau is a hard test of persistence for founders. there’s only 3 viable paths: 1. pivot to a new product 2. continue but make a wildly different move 3. keep as is and hustle harder what is tricky is that all three have success cases: 1=slack, 2=uber (from limo to ridesharing), 3=snapchat

Totally true.. the classic over, around, or through challenge. An unsorted list of potential ways to evaluate: 1. Best feature - find your best feature and see if it can stand alone as a utility to a broader audience (slack) 2. Most requested feature - what's the thing everyone keeps asking for that you are stubbornly ignoring? (uber) 3. Strangers in the midst - which kinds of users do you see that you didn't expect to see - are they a new market? (uber) 4. Labs - ship a bunch of smaller experiments to see how they fit into the mix (snap)
