Airdrop farmers can be used to stress test. They should be viewed as a useful tool, not an inconvenience.

I see that as an unintended side effect. Yes stress testing is useful sometimes but I think it's hard to say that airdrop farmers intent is to help test a technology... Much more extractive vs supportive IMO

But thats crypto. Using economic incentives to support protocols and projects by inducing actions by actors who are not interested in the underlying technology or use case. The intent is only relevant in terms of how you design the incentives and when you employ them. Expecting only supportive actors is not realistic.
