unpopular opinion: apple's ecosystem sucks

airdrop, continuity, imessage come to mind first on the software side

still feels like magic when I copy something on my macbook and paste on my iphone or vice versa

or use my iphone as a webcam for my macbook

or start browsing a site on my iphone then open seamlessly on macbook

and yes I do these things very often

“tied” maybe not, but I still wouldn’t expect to move

those are some of my favorite software features but there’s also design and quality

I prefer the look and feel of iPhone/iOS to any android phone I’ve used, and same with macbook/macOS to windows devices

so if all these things seamlessly worked in other ecosystem, you won't be tied to apple ecosystem anymore?

iMessage makes me wish how I would rather have all “seamless-ness” served via Cloud instead. 

I’m glad the iMessage dynamics of the USA don’t exist in India. 

Continuity is cool and all but it’s the vertical integration that is the most valuable aspect of Apple.
