My wife and I are travelled (active vacation wins; ocean is a must, for swimming, SUP, and surfing. +Mountains).

Where would you go for ~1 month or more, from late Nov to Dec? Where have you gone that you wholeheartedly recommend?

Ideal range $4K-$10K flights and stay.

Any Hawaiian island (I went to Oahu and Maui, loved both) + Cape Town come to mind for a great mix of ocean + mountains

Cape Town cost of living will be much lower, not sure about flights

Trailhead to beach in 15 mins, hard to beat

Definitely leaning closer to Hawaii from all the responses! We've never been, so that's appealing.
