The question of the day: what is something you are glad you were taught/exposed to at a young age that isn't your current profession/role for me: im really glad I was around people who encouraged me to participate in various activities at a young age (music, video editing, photography, etc). I even had a stage where my best friend from high school and I played cs:go until 5 am on the weekends While I don't do these things now, doing those made me way more comfortable trying new things - it also made me realize that its ok to stop doing something if I don't have any passion for it anymore I also met so many different kinds of people from doing the above. I 100% think that this helped me get better/get out of my shell a lot

Idk how to phrase it other than. Being exposed to our immigration system at a young age and having to overcome the following prepped me hard: * getting out of ESL and into AP English * almost got deported at 17 years old bc of a clerical mistake by uscis * not being able to get license bc of status * couldnāt attend my dream schools bc they donāt give money to ppl like me * graduating college even though I had to work under the table to feed myself/pay for school * being depressed bc I didnāt have a future here till DACA which was announced on my graduation day * finally getting license as an āold personā * being on NYT bc of all the bullshit above š And more. Idk wtf you classify that is but I can tell you systems going down cuz of a P0 issue donāt keep me up at night

Iād imagine this made you way stronger as a person - it also imo makes you look at things way differently, for example i rarely get mad today bc of how ive grown

Thatās exactly it. I still feel regular emotions, like I still get worked up or stressed. But I can cool out quickly, very quickly. My wife gets super mad at me š.
