two things can be true: 1. this is good revenue generation for these pods that wouldn’t have been generated on traditional platforms 2. as a podcaster, “minutes listened” is infinitely more valuable to me compared to “mints,” which imo is the most unreliable onchain metric for quality of multimedia content

I was mentioning something similar on /yellow. I had a potential sponsor asking for numbers and I was struggling with what data to share as mints is web2 of downloads but some apps auto download but that doesn’t = listens. Better data would be better imo

will you link your cast? would love to read the discussion over there and yes, 100% agree; we need much better metrics for us to operate at the same standard as legacy multimedia platforms/creators until we do that, will be hard for any of us to truly grow beyond crypto TAM

I tagged you in the group chat. Also do we not have search in group chats? Was a bit harder to find but here is part of it. The revenue piece was something that didnt cross my mind and is different from buzzsprout (which is nice). Metrics are also wonky in Web2 where apple recently had some issue in misreporting numbers. Right now I feel way more comfortable with presenting data on web2 client. Someone can easily just mint but not listen both are key.
