finally put nephew #2 to sleep (he’s sleeping on top of me as i cast this) after 1 hour of trying. to his credit - he’s the sweetest and listens well but he was just being too playful tonight + this was my first time trying to get a 2 y/o to sleep. i humbly bow down to all parents doing this every single day. 😅

It’s hard, don’t be too hard on yourself. Sometimes a person also becomes their play person and other there consoling person. I try not to let that happen for my kid between my wife and I. But she does way better with me putting her down vs my wife. Honestly, enjoy those snuggles and naps.

it was the first he went to sleep without his parents so imagine it was an uphill battle already for a first timer like me haha. definitely enjoying the snuggles and whisper talk ðŸ˜ðŸ¥¹ðŸ¥¹
