What fraction? 9/10 is a fraction. I actually don't think it's a usability issue anymore. It's about acceptability at points of sale. When the big box stores accept crypto, Americans will use it.

What are the other uses you see for regular folks?

We're well past a world where the only thing crypto can do is stand as a unit of currency to move around for sales, and even then, most people who hold crypto are currently doing so for investment/speculation purposes, and rarely use it. Actual use of crypto as a utility is comparably much lower, easily less than 1/10.
