Thanks for explaining. I thought it was called techne for technology. 

Regarding the logo, in terms of color theory. It’s a mixture of orange with a hint of red. Orange signifies warm feelings and friendliness and red is passion! So, fits with how this space is. Friendly people who are passionate with art and tech.
