This morning, omw to work, I got off the train and headed up the stairs towards the exit, minding my own business with my earphones on. It was still dark outside. Out of nowhere, I got the fright of my life! I legit thought someone was trying to kidnap me! Turns out, my jacket had just hooked onto a bicycle’s handlebars. 😂 Scared myself for absolutely no reason. 😭

Today was a stark reminder that, no matter how much you contribute or how valuable you believe you are, companies often see you as easily replaceable. It’s deeply disheartening to witness more people being let go—especially for the second time this year, and even more so when they’re people I’ve grown to care about. I’m grateful to have art as a refuge from all the chaos at work.
