if warpcast had “stories” like Instagram, would you be interested in seeing parts of my day (or other farcasters’ days) that don’t necessarily deserve to be on main feed?

i would use it almost daily and start allocating some of my instagram time here instead.

i would love stories bc i'm a very visually oriented person - i love capturing moments and memories visually and love seeing how other people view the world as well. that being said given WC being a text and channels-first product maybe it wouldn't be the right fit feature wise yet

that's actually crazy to me that half a billion ppl use whatsapp stories!!! i would never go there to look at people's random photos but i think that's partially bc instagram / snap have invested so heavily in super user friendly creator tools that easily make an image look special & curated, plus geotags etc.

ditto! i share your concerns re: text-driven platform given stories has had poor traction on them before. 500M WhatsApp users use "Status" (equivalent of stories), which is +2x the # of Snapchat users but only 20% of overall WhatsApp users (2.7B).

warpcast is WhatsApp (GCs + DCs) but also Reddit + X + ig so i rly dk!!
