I've once written somewhere, that generative art is for me more than coding randomness, it means writing intuitions. 
But this isn't a very clear definition... 😅

Yes metaphorically, but no in the literal meaning. Music and literature are writings but they do not generate themselves randomness. Coding genart is precisely writing potentialities, ergo intuitions. I don't see other art form having this as a premise that precisely defines the work.
