Thoughts on self-promotion? Been a little more aggressive about it here as compared to TwiX. Partly because there's no algorithm throttling my posts, and partly because the crowd on here is in for it — but how much is too much? How much before it gets annoying? 🤔 genuine Q

It's likely way more than you think, I think people are a little too careful with self promotion. I understand I makes me feel icky myself, but as someone who enjoys finding new things and works I actually am here for people trying to showcase their own works.

Not answering your question but IMO there is a spectrum between producing actual content and engagement farming. Both can be considered self promoting. Some of the top players in crypto twitter/farcaster are producing great content with integrity and has gained true followers because of that.

Mate, I don’t think what you do qualifies as self promotion in the way a lot of folks on here operate. You could deffo go a bit harder if you wished. But also, the slow strategy of being helpful and engaging is a long play and should work well down the line. ‘How soon do you need to get paid?’ is the key question
