Depends on the person. If they’re primarily a TikTok or IG user, forget about it until FC is much bigger. If they’re on X or Facebook: - social network that can’t rug pull your community - ability to migrate apps without losing your community

I think Farcaster with its connection to crypto rails has a greater chance to make Kevin Kelly's 1,000 true fans thesis a reality. On all the other networks you need to reach a massive scale before you can actually make any meaningful amount of money. Then you're constantly fighting to keep that attention. It's not certain whether that model can be broken up with FC but I think it has a much greater chance than anything else out there.

I'm not familiar with Patreon as a creator, but as a user it lacks discoverability and deep integration into any social network. That's why Substack has also expanded beyond just newsletter subscriptions and added their own Twitter-like chat, etc. Farcaster is already permissionlessly integrated with hypersub, paragraph, automod, etc. so its potential is significantly greater than both Patreon and Substack. We still need to significantly improve the ecosystem's UX to start attracting more people so it can achieve its true potential.
