Why doesn’t the wolf eat little red riding hood in the forest? Seems unnecessary to go to grandma’s house to then try to eat her there?

the timeline and plot need to adapt to the plan. otherwise, it'd just be another prey. the deliberate design is more alluring for the wolf. the play satisfies.
