Also, I see a lot of Northern Mesopotamian cuisine dishes passed around like Turkish all across the social media. I'd just stay away from those except few superb places, and rather try to discover more Aegeano-Mediterranean stuff.

ps: hookah places are 99% tourist trap and people do not have a hookah trad here.

besides, people tend to forget that ICC is looking out on the Bosphorus via Maçka Park hence Dolmabahçe Palace is only 10 min. away on foot

Also a walk along the line from Ortaköy through Sarıyer would be good (might take 1-3 hours depending on your stamina and the time of the day).
