there were a couple of shortlived experiments afaik. @phil had tangential /essays x /books experiment AFAIK but i might be recalling the wrong axis. funnily enough, the mars review of books from some /urbit people had two issues on, wait for it, 'Bitcoin SV'.
@zora's earlier version(s) were "mag" friendly in formatting. but as you can sense, i'm not even able to recall a title.
sometimes, i miss the prolific "litmag" oriented culture of early 2010s Facebook, Twitter and Blogpost circles especially around the Ron Silliman, Kenneth Goldmith, Jacket2 etc. clusters and then the new blood of Alt Lit (Lin & the HTMLGiant, Thought Catalogue people).
my ideal onchain litmag would be somewhere along the lines of Poetry Magazine, Paris Review of Literature, The New Yorker, PennSound, Ubuweb but in the repository mode as in i'd love to have a plaintext UI that I can access from a terminal and collect the repo from the CLI.
the modern, and sleek UI would be html and svg canvasses.
btw, check /metalabel 0 reply
