apparently everyone is OK paying for every flatulation they pass as a passage from Finnegans Wake. Seriously, there are some barriers to real group beyond some deserted islands a la deleuze et guattari in this direction.

I think it's a combination of - unfiltered optimism - tech illiteracy - desire for “community” - pandering to trends (tip coins, etc) that people are willing to take in anything afforded their way to be a part of something. With attention being so scarce, quantity over quality is unfortunately a working strategy.

at the end of the day, i think, these are also the factors that contribute to the fraud triangle. tech illiteracy is really something that can be overcome here. we gotta do sth but i just wanna exercise, nerd over new DeFi primitives, and well grow some products and enjoy some mobility.

I'm personally at odds with tech literacy as I'd love for people to be more informed with something that has very consequential effects everyday life, yet also believe the best technologies require the least amount of explaining. It's a delicate balance to strike as someone working on tech for humans
