French Revolution Summer (Audiobook) I learned about the French Revolution in school and university but failed to appreciate the nuances that make it such an interesting period to study. The idea that stuck back then was "Robespierre bad," but that barely scratches the surface. This book, through its focus on the twelve men who made up the Committee of Public Safety, explores the complexities of the time in a really engaging way. Highly recommended for those interested in history. Looking for a book on the Napoleonic period next.
