I wish Farcaster had opt-in proof-of-personhood attestations we can attach to our FID. Picturing a permissionless market of options so everyone can decide which are the most credible.

Seems this would dramatically reduce the bot problem over the long term?

It would be an extremely strange decision for a decentralized social network to implement something like KYC. Properly tuned algorithms can improve the situation.

At the moment, most of the casters in the shadowban are indeed bots, which means that the algorithms are working in the right direction
