In this piece, I'm exploring the crisis of microplastics and the science that is offering us hope, all intertwined with my feelings on humanity and the rapidly eroding notions of our separation from nature and from each other 

Some part of me supports “the polymer diaspora’s” rebellion against borders and imaginary geopolitical boundaries

But mostly I am concerned that humanity’s collective dissociation from nature has created a world where we now literally find microplastics in placentas
